I know it's a tad bit early for waitlist acceptances, but as the deposit deadline approaches, many colleges must be looking at their waitlists now. So many people got waitlisted at so many different places this year, so it's curious what the summer melt is going to be like.

I started this thread because someone on the Emory board posted saying that they were accepted off the waitlist. If anyone else has a success story to contribute (or know of a school whose waitlist has become active), please contribute.

In my daughters case, there was no gimmick. She simply returned a card to Clemson saying she was interested in being placed on the waitlist. No additional letter, follow up, etc. Didn’t expect to hear anything from them until May. She was very surprised to recieve an acceptance package last week.
