Waitlist success stories

bpfarmer- chicago over-enrolled again? im pretty sure thats not true, because they did so the last 2 years and were more cautious this year. plus, people have been taken off of the waitlist already.

I got into UNC-Chapel Hill on Tuesday!!!
I am so excited!!!

@chicagoboy12

Yeah that’s just what they said. Apparently some kids have gotten in off the waitlist but they were “special cases”-whatever that means. Hopefully they aren’t too overenrolled and they’ll use the waitlist more.

where are you going as of current?

i got waitlisted by 4 schools, and it came down to carnegie-mellon and mcgill, and as of now im going to mcgill. What about you?

Added Carleton to the list of inactive waitlists. D got letter yesterday stating that freshman class is full and they are not currently admitting off the waitlist. Very small chance that summer melt may open a few slots up.

my friend got into harvard today!! she’s leaving behind wash u so anyone CCers waiting for them will hopefully get in!

I got into Harvard on Thursday and Princeton on Friday. Still waiting on Yale, hopefully.

I heard Chicago’s taking people…Yale I thought was mostly done, though.

i’ve conflicting info on Chicago
I’ve heard they’re already overenrolled
but then why is it on the active list?

Just a little info on UChicago as a number of people seem confused.

UChicago has a full class as of now. They took a few students off the waitlist on Friday May 9, and are not taking anybody as of now. They plan to keep a smaller extended waitlist throughout the summer and will notify students in the next couple of weeks regarding their status (keep waiting or rejected).

It’s not certain whether UChicago will be able to take anymore, as it depends on the waitlist activities of other schools. It’s still on the “Active” list because nobody has had the chance to update the Chicago info, I think.

Pitzer isn’t taking anyone off the list either.

A total of 14 people on CC alone have got off the waitlist into Columbia, but that was in the first week of May.

Anyone got in there recently? I’m dying!

And has anyone heard from Barnard regarding the waitlist?

Or Middlebury and Oberlin? I know Colby isn’t using their this year, so there goes one of my options.

Middlebury is active. I know someone who was called last week and got the package on Saturday.

I think Oberlin’s overenrolled for now.

Has anyone heard from Knox College?

anyone hear from UCONN yet?

Brown’s waitlist is now active. I called them today and they confirmed that they are reviewing applications and will be mailing out the first wave of acceptances this week. Nobody has heard from them yet that I know of, but they definitely will be taking kids. No idea on numbers, though.

A friend of mine was accepted off the waitlist at UCONN and will be going back in mid april, maybe the week of the 20th. haven’t heard anything since then though

im guessing that princeton is done with waitlists… or 90 percent of them
