yeah for 1000th post!

so is the duke waitlist still active or are they finally done?

2e4L: so would you go there if you got in? at this point its kinda like well if they want me at their school they would’ve accepted me by now, you know..but i dunno, its always been by #1…

ps did you send anything in to them when you found out you were waitlisted?

yeah i know what you mean. i’m not sure? if bc doesn’t want us then how much are we going to like them back yaknow?

no i didn’t. the site specifically said not to so..

yeahh, i dunno it said not to but i did anyways, i didnt not want to do anything, plus ive heard of other ppl that have and they got in, but you never know what they are looking for..im gonna call them on tues and find out if theyve made anymore offers and if they are still going to take ppl off the waitlist or if they closed it

sesar11:

I’m fairly sure that the Duke waitlist is mostly finished. Of course, the best way to find out is to email your regional officer at Duke. My officer was very friendly and has been quite helpful…I think that this contact is one of the reasons I was accepted off of the Duke waitlist.

Sesar11: I spoke with an officer and they said they were mostly finished with it. I turned down my spot and if some others choose to do the same, perhaps there’s still a chance.

Do not give up hope, I got into a school that I did nothing to get into from the waiting list except visit. Do not believing…

Anyone heard about Cornell Engineering Waitlist?
I’m waiting because they sent me a letter notifying that after accepting some students from waitlist in Hotel Admin., they said they’ll update with new information some time in the week of May 26th. Has anyone heard from them yet?

it’s sunday… i’m sure they’ll give out information during business hours monday thru friday

St. Lawrence is active.. just got off their waitlist a few days ago!!!

princeton is still semiactive.. one of my classmates recently got off.

How do you determine whether to leave a school’s waitlist as active or inactive?

Trackie10x… Were you replying to my message? Have your heard from Cornell yet?

leiqeltk@
I think most of the schools that made a clear statement (be it an online article or an official e-mail) that they “would not be taking any students from waitlist” or “are over-enrolled” were put on “inactive list”.

I don’t think anyone added any school to the “active list” if someone didn’t either:
- read that school is taking more students
- has got in from waitlist him/herself
- knows someone who got in recently

Any update on Cornell Engineering?

Bard is inactive. My daughter got a letter saying they are full but you can stay on the waitlist in case any spots open up later in the summer.

are people still getting off the BU waitlist? i feel like if i haven’t heard yet i am definately going to be rejected

iivymins, i was replying to you. i didn’t apply to cornell but i’m just guessing that they’re not going to be sending stuff out on a sunday or a national holiday… just wait
it’ll come

Dear

As you know, the deadline for accepting Bowdoin’s invitation to be considered for admission from our waiting list was May 1st. Since we have not received your reply, we assume that you have made plans to attend another college or university, and it is now necessary for us to close your admission file here.

Thankyou for considering Bowdoin and for taking the time to prepare your applications and essays. My staff and I wish you much success as you continue your education.

Sincerely yours,

P.S If you DID return your reply on or before May 1st, please contact us IMMEDIATELY(underline) to confirm your intent to remain on our waiting list

I just recieved this letter. I had accepted long before the deadline to remain on their waitlists since it was my top choice but it was perhaps lost in postal mail. I had also confirmed these intentions via email to the admissions office much before the deadline. I sent them mails till the 4rth of May nd then stopped coz i didnt want to look like i was stalking them. I have contacted them thru e-mail juss now. What does this letter mean? Can it be seen as a positive indication. Should i contact them by phone?
