Hey everyone I, like many of you, was waitlisted and I thought that it would be nice to start a thread where we could share information or ask questions.

I was deferred in December from EA and waitlisted in April and I will wait once again and hope that I get in.

So, did anyone get a confirmation from the admissions office after indicating your waitlist intention??

And it looks like about 60% of students accepted off the waitlist are offered a place in the Spring semester. (from what i read in the waitlist letter) If you were accepted in the spring, would you go to another institution in the fall or how would you spend your time?

i was also deferred early action and then wait listed… i immediately accepted the offer but did not get a confirmation email until april 6th. so about 10 days. i dont know why it takes them so long.

if i got accepted for spring i would like to take fall off and go travel but im not sure my parents would let me. i’d go to europe and relax for awhile.

what are your plans if you dont get in in the spring?

Oh man, i accepted the offer the second i checked my status and i still haven’t gotten a confirmation…

I was thinking about going to my backup school and taking classes in the fall and then transferring my credit if i got in in the spring.

When I log into the waitlist part of the application status check page, it just gives me the option to accept or decline the invitation to the waitlist again… Is this the same as yalls’?

UGA1991: I would suggest you go online using a land-line, and then re-submit your wait-list response and details of why you want to stay on the wait-list. I am guessing there might have been a connection issue the first time you tried it, as I don’t think you should see the same response after submission.

Thanks GAdawg, I was wondering if I should try it again but I know the admissions people up there must be flooded right now and I didnt want them to think I was trying to send two. (cause in about four different places it asks not to send supplementary material) I even called the admissions office and im not sure if the lady who answered my call knew what I was talking about.

Ok ill try it again tonight. Does anyone know if there anything at all that we can do to to add something to our file or to let the office know were still interested?

And does anyone know about how many people have accepted a place on the wait list?
