aw, youāre so sweet! if i get in, iāll let everyone in this forum know and i hope to see you and everyone as well ? i also have the same SAT score of 1080 but my weighted is a 4.0 and unweighted is a 3.4-3.5??? so i have some hope in getting accepted (i heard ucf was strict with SAT score but we have the same so it makes me feel a little reassured haha). not sure if my overall stats will get me in but fingers crossed, i am still debating on asking for an expedited decision!
My gpa is only a 3.2 uw and 3.8 w and my SAT is 1170 so I have no idea whatās going to happen for me. I should have my decision by Thursday and I am really nervous.
i honestly mean this but i do think youāre going to get in! i think judging from other peopleās stats, your SAT score is higher than ours or within range with some people in this forum. also, your unweighted and weighted are not bad either! despite the nervousness, letās have hope! <3
hey guys Iāve been following this thread for a little while, I requested and expedited decision thursday and Iām still waiting on a decisionā¦ they told me on the phone it could take up to 5 business days to hear back so Iāll make sure to let you guys know when I hear back! Good luck to everyone on here!!
i would like some advice but how did you guys word your reasoning for an expedited decision? i donāt want to sound pushy or anything so itās like i want to make a good first impression in a way??
When I called them I actually didnāt give them a reason as to why I had to do an expedited decision (they didnāt ask.) I think they realize that there is the May 1st deadline for schools and they are quite used to taking these requests. What I did on my call was first ask them about the expedited decision option and then I requested to get one. They are not judgey at all and do not make a big deal about the expedited decision, they are honestly pretty chill about it. All they do is ask for simple information like your name and date of birth and then you are all set.
I hope they get back to you as soon as possible! Also I find it interesting how they told you it would take up to 5 business days. I requested an expedited decision yesterday and they told me 2-3 business days. Perhaps a lot of people were requesting expedited decisions right after the April 15th date and they got a big rush of requests.
Seeing how a lot of people are getting accepted by requesting an expedited decision, I kind of want to request one but Iām scared of getting rejected. Does anyone know if they reject you after the expedited decision , do they automatically take you off the waitlist? Because I am still willing to wait even after May 1st.
My stats are:
3.6 unweighted
4.5 weighted
1230 SAT
as a supportive person on this forum, i honestly think theres no need for you to worry about rejection! your stats are higher than most of us in this forum and you have the stats of my friends that got accepted to ucf! your SAT score and GPA are amazing and i wish i had those stats haha! but i read somewhere about expedited decisions (i read so many articles and forums about expedited decisions), theyāll either automatically accept or reject you so it is a risky decision to make; however, i am really confident that you can get in based on your stats.
If they reject you, yes, you are automatically taken off the waitlist. However, you do have good stats and I feel like youād have a strong chance of getting in. Honestly, Iām actually quite surprised you didnāt already get in because I know friends with both lower gpa and SAT who got in.
That is strange that they gave you a shorter time span to hear back. I think youāre right itās probably something to do with a lot of people requesting an expedited decision right after april 15.
I think you would be perfectly fine and definitely able to make it in! My friend had similar stats and asked for an expedited decision and received an acceptance for the spring term 2021. She has to take only 11 credits during the fall semester at a different college to keep her acceptance at ucf, so itās a pretty good option!
