To all My UNF people. I am in the same boat as you! Deadline is may 1st and I m waiting for UCF to give me a decision. The question I have is, can i submit my $200 deposit to UNF while waiting for UCF after May 1st, or will UCF see that and cancel my application. Basically what I am trying to say is if I submitt my deposit to UNF and UCF offers me admission after may 1st can i cancel my agreement with UNF or does it not work like that???
also, do you guys know the set time range of how long youāll receive your decision after requesting an expedited decision? most people on here say 2-3 days but another person said 5 days?? i am trying to figure out the time range so that i am able to get a decision before may 1st.
i am glad to hear iām not the only ucf-unf person here! i am not entirely sure but maybe someone else can answer you here? but you can try emailing/calling the unf or ucf admissions office and see what they say.
I asked for an expedited decision yesterday and they told me 2-3 days so I think that is probably the most accurate one since it is the most recent.
Iām on the same boat as you two actually for unf/ucf, I guess now I feel inclined, im so nervous idk what to do
are you leaning towards ucf or unf? figure out what is best for your intended major or which school may give you better opportunities. wait an extra day because i think 2-3 people will post their decisions here tomorrow
Hi, Iāve been following along this forum for a few months and Iām in the same boat as you all. I actually emailed unf admissions about enrollment and they said that theyād like a decision by May 1, however the May 1 date isnāt a hard date meaning you can make a decision after that date. They didnāt specify how long after but just know that the may 1 deadline isnāt a set in stone deadline. Hope this helps
Iām not sure if its the same for UNF but I previously put in my deposit for FGCU because I was anxious about whether or not I would get accepted to UCF. I was not taken off the waitlist for submitting a deposit at another school. You can cancel your agreement with your second choice school but remember that you cannot get a refund for the deposit. If you have the money then I would recommend doing this if you plan to keep on waiting on the waitlist past May 1st instead of getting an expedited decision.
i prefer ucf hence why Iām waiting so much but could we deposit our money and secure our spot or can we accept UNF after May 1st bc i truly want ucf
So do you think its smart to put in a deposit for your second choice just as safety so you have a spot there and continue to wait on a response from ucf?
oh okay, thanks for this information! it means a lot!
okay, so judging from @Marabella 's comment, for the ucf-unf people, may 1st isnāt a cold cut deadline especially knowing that unf is also a school that is rolling admission, therefore, i think we can hold out a little longer. however, i donāt think we should hold out too long like mid-may because there may be complications for unf?? like what if theres no space available or if theres housing situations?? so we could wait a little longer but iām personally still debating about an expedited decision or waiting a little longer after may 1st.
Great question Sean! I asked that same question of our schoolās college advisor and was told NO ā UCF will NOT know about the deposit.
For EARLY DECISION (months ago), Florida state universities DO exchange info on students who commit. But for regular admissions, they do not.
The thing you have to determine is whether the enrollment deposit is refundable or not. Iām pretty sure UCFās deposit is NOT refundable, but donāt know about UNF.
Guys, this morning I woke up to check my ucf portal and I got in for the summer term!! I was really having doubts and thought they wouldnāt accept me after asking for an expedited decision, but it all worked out in the end. Thank you guys for going through this journey with meā¤ļø
congratulations!!! This gave me hope and will be requesting an expedited decision
Never a doubtā¦CONGRATULATIONS!
@Izzy02 omg congrats!! im so happy for youā¤ļø I think i might expedite my decision as well seeing how all these people are getting in from doing it! Do you mind me asking what your stats are?
I donāt mind at all! Here are my stats:
Uw gpa: 3.2
W gpa: 3.8
SAT: 1170
Hey everyone! Iāve been following this forum for a while now and wish everyone the best. Iām still debating whether I should wait a little longer or request a expedited decision( Iām just really nervous that I might get rejected). Here are my stats:
SAT: 1010 ( I know itās extremely low)
U.W: 3.7
W: 4.1
Do I have a good shot of getting accepted?
yay congratulations!! do you by any chance know when you requested your expedited decision? I requested mine last Thursday and still havenāt heard back
