Do people get off the waitlist in a rolling fashion or is it going to be one big announcement on April 15th and May 31st?
I doubt that any of us know. You might try emailing Admissions and asking them
If you get an answer, be sure to come back and post it for other people on the Waitlist.
i think itās rolling because last year people found out at different times. even before april 15
Just an update: I havenāt heard back yet and apparently neither have a lot of you guys which is concerning because in previous years it seemed like many people received decisions before April 15. I really hope corona doesnāt delay decisions coming out for us on the 15th, waiting has been AWFUL but I still have faith. Also, when I sent them a letter of continued interest, they told me they donāt consider them so donāt bother writing one.
One day out to be honest I hope most of us gets in, all this waiting sucks so much even in such a pandemic like this going on ?
to be honest i have a feeling the pandemic will affect how long we wait because i know that last year people found out earlier
I agree. If I donāt get a decision tomorrow Iām going to email them and ask how much longer it may take because my second option for college is making me submit my deposit for enrollment by May 1st.
Same. I made my other biggest choice to be moved to June 1st so I would still have time to choose between them.
Everyone on the waitlist, what is your second choice school?
fiu but i plan to transfer if i donāt get in
I hope some of you start hearing good news tomorrow, but if you donāt, donāt give up hope. Remember that almost the entire administrative staff of UCF is working remotely, and that is bound to slow things down.
Also donāt forget that a LOT of accepted students will actually probably not enroll. If a parent has lost their job, or some similar problem, a lot of students will stay home for the first year or two and transfer later to reduce family expenses during a difficult time.
Good luck everyone!
thank you for your words of encouragement! weāre all heading back to this comment thread as we are all worried and stressed out. i think we can all get in due to some of our stats. i have been researching how many freshmen are admitted into ucf and itās around 6400-7000 which makes me worried because all of my friends got in (i applied in february and automatically got waitlisted so it was bound to happen). i am not sure if anyone else in this thread applied for the same term but i applied for the fall term!
one question but are the waitlist announcements specifically on april 15 AND may 31? or is it like one pool of applicants are chosen on april 15 and then the āfinal round of reviewā is on may 31 of those chosen applicants?
do you guys know the time that ucf will announce the acceptances?
So I believe the way they take people off the waitlist is rolling because I have heard of someone getting off the waitlist a few weeks ago.
My second choice is rollins which is honestly a lovely school itās just that itās costly. Even with the scholarship they gave me and bright futures it comes to 20k a year for tuition.
Hey! I just signed up to be able to respond to this lol. I applied in October and my application wasnāt processed until March, putting me on the waitlist I have a 3.5 weighted GPA and a 32 ACT. I assume they put the most stress on GPA because I would have believed that my ACT score could get me in. UCF has become a bigger and more competitive school, which is sad for us but makes sense. Itās April 15th and Iām still on the waitlist, Iām not sure if there is a time that decisions will be announced or if I just didnāt get moved off today. Very nervous as UCF is my top choice and if I donāt get in, Iāll just stay at Valencia and finish my AA (Iām Dual Enrolled) and transfer. I got accepted to UNF, FAU, and FGCU but Iām not sure they are places Iām interested in. Best of luck to all of us in this thread
Good luck to everybody today! If anybody receives a decision please make sure to let the forum know!
I would check later this afternoon! I feel like now maybe a little early.
i have a 3.9-4.0 weighted GPA so hopefully by your words, that i get accepted. i am still on the waitlist but i think most florida schools release decisions in the afternoon/evening so it may be too early as of right now. i also got accepted to unf but not sure if itās what iām really interested in. iāve been researching about ucf so much lately and iāve been really in love with the school so hopefully, everyone in this thread can get into ucf today! i have faith that we all can.
yeah! i believe most florida schools release decisions in the afternoon/evening so the waitlist decisions may be the same! but everyone, let us know in the forum
