that’s odd… when you asked on the phone did they ask for your details or did they just say to ask via email? when i asked for my recalculated gpa they just needed my name to check
they just said to vial email them
I’d call back tomorrow and ask again. You may have gotten someone who didn’t have the access needed to look it up.
Very often, phone service depends on who answers the phone.
Was on the waitlist, requested an early decision.
Just got accepted for Spring 2021 term. Anyone have any ideas about this? Do you have to live off campus?
depending on the covid-19 situation, you might have to live off campus but i honestly doubt that given you got the spring 2021 term. it’s still a possibility though, you never know!
congrats!, do you mind listing your stats?
you’re not required to live on-campus but you can certainly apply for housing! housing is on a first come, first serve basis so if you want to live on-campus then start applying for housing soon. as for any idea about spring 2021, not sure but if you’re not going to college of fall 2020 then i’m assuming you’re starting a little later than others (most spring 2021 kids say they’re starting “late”).
also, with what is going on at the moment, we are unsure if the campus will reopen but i definitely know that the summer term is online! not sure what will happen for fall 2020 and spring 2021 though.
does anyone know if ucf has extended their enrollment deposit till the 15th because COVID-19, because that can change things for the waitlist kids.
the website states this on the page for freshman applicants
“NOTICE: The Office of Undergraduate Admissions will continue to accept enrollment deposits beyond the May 1st deadline until the university’s enrollment goals are met. For COVID-19 information, including impacts on campus operations, students and staff, visit the Admissions FAQs and UCF’s coronavirus website.”
so yes, it’s been extended but it doesn’t specifically state may 15th
My son asked for an expedited decision on Monday morning and got in for summer last night. He is in the Access program. Anyone else doing that? His stats were 3.6 UW and 5.2 W with 1100 on SAT.
just a question for people who have been accepted/rejected, did you get an email to check your account when receiving your decision?
There are several posters who are in Access, but I’m not sure who. If you scroll through the last 4-5 pages of this thread I think you’ll see some. Or post a new thread.
Most of the ones I’ve seen just checked their accounts without any prompting – and boom, there it was.
After reading through the thread, I decided to go with my gut and I just emailed the office of admissions asking for an expedited decision…once they get back to me I’ll let you all know the outcome
good luck!!
Did anyone have trouble registering for orientation? It keeps saying invalid first name/ last name, NID.
oh yeah! i also had the same problem but you have to pay your enrollment deposit first and it takes a few days for that “invalid” notice to go away. try registering for orientation tomorrow?
me and another person named daliyah are also in the access program. it’s basically a summer program online where we take two classes and this program just helps us prepare for the fall term. they invited certain people like us because we showed determination and academic success despite having “lower” scores or gpa so this is a good opportunity!
I looked at that program when you two were discussing it earlier, and it REALLY looks good!
I think it’s another example of UCF’s commitment to each student’s SUCCESS, and that sets UCF apart from many other universities.
I thought in the Access program, he only had to take one class? Did you already register for your classes?
