What does it say on your portal? Have you called them?
Just FYI @cooks , I donāt think Iāve seen anyone wait more than 5 days for an answer on āexpedited decision.ā Either they didnāt receive your email, the answer is on your portal, or there is something wrong.
This thread is a lot of help to a lot of people, but itās not the place to get the answer to YOUR question.
(and the math test question above is totally irrelevant until you get accepted!)
It is odd bc I got an email back saying I would get a decision soon. I think with Covid-19 there are delays naturally so I will continue to wait. I just sent my final semester college transcript so hopefully that will help. Thank you. I appreciate your help.
My understanding is all accepted students will be asked to take the MPT.
@cooks , if I understand some of your earlier posts, you are the parent of a prospective student.
Look at your portal. Lots of people have NOT received their result by email. In fact, Iām not sure anybody has received their result by email.
If your portal still shows you on waitlist, call them tomorrow, and get an answer.
I applied for Summer admission in October. I was first deferred, then waitlisted. I finally asked this week for an expedited decision and was admitted for Spring 21.
@cooks Yes you need to take the MPT- it doesnāt matter how well you do- the College Algebra credit will override it.
hey yāall! just wanted to update everyone on my boyfriend. he sent updated transcripts Monday, asked for expedited decision Thursday, and got in for Summer today!!! thank you all for your advice, it really did help him. best of luck to you all!!
anyone still waiting like me ;( check in
Yes! I asked on Wednesday, still waitingā¦
Hi everyone. For my waitlisted buddies, I called UCF asking abt the status of my application ( bc I asked for an expedited decision and havenāt heard anything back), and the woman I was on the phone with said that they donāt take expedited request by email and that you have to call them. After explaining that to me she then asked for my info to verify who I am and put on my application that I needed an expedited decision. I know some people have gotten a decision by emailing UCF, but I suggest calling them if youāve emailed and havenāt heard anything back after a few days.
Hi, Iāve asked for an expedited decision two weeks ago and they updated my portal within 3 days. It said I got accepted into summer term 2020! I just need some help because since summer term already started how will that go. Iām still waiting for the financial aid department to process all my forms and FAFSA. Also I didnāt take the mpt yet. Iām studying for it but have scheduled for the orientation. Unfortunately I got waitlisted for housing, which I expected. I guess Iāll just wait it out. Is anybody in the same place as I am? I think theyāll make me start session B. Idk. Good luck guys!!!
You will start Summer B, which starts on June 22 and ends on July 31.
Summer admission simply means you have to do one online class during Summer B.
When you do orientation, you will register for both Summer B and Fall. As soon as you send your acceptance deposit ($200), you will bombarded with emails telling you the rest of the stuff.
Congratulations!
@JimDadinmia Thanks, that helps a lot!
@Daliyahsteven thatās awesome that you got housing! If you donāt mind me asking where did you apply for and when did you apply?
Hello everyone! I asked for an expedited decision last Wednesday and I got an invitation to do the access program with UCF today, there is an option to extend. Can anyone explain what that means?
Also, do I have to do the access program?
I donāt know if you HAVE to, but if it was offered I would certainly do it. It looks like a great program.
My dual enrollment transcript just got to them today. It is yet to be processed by UCF. How long did it take for you guys to see transcript updates on your portal?
hi! i was also invited into the access program a while back when i asked for an expedited decision but yes, you do have to do the access program in order to gain admission into the fall term. it is REQUIRED to attend everything related to the access program; think of it as your first step before entering campus (i certainly view it as preparation for college as i looked into it). you were mostly invited due to the fact your application demonstrated that you could succeed at ucf (the admissions committee can see this in you so that is amazing).
i believe this is considered the summer b term but it is different from people who only have summer b term without the access program. for summer b students with the access program, we have two courses to take (one general education course that all access students take and one elective course that they choose for us based on our intended major). you will receive information about your course schedule and the courses they chose for us when orientation takes place or after itās over (orientation takes place June 15th-16th so make sure you sign up soon!). you also HAVE to attend both orientation days and these are online (the summer b term and access program are online this year).
i donāt know what you meant by extending it? because i looked into the program and thought of it as a good opportunity but i would certainly recommend it!
