I’ve made a mistake you guys. I’ve been working a lot and while submitting my things and waiting, I’m assuming I missed the Summer B orientation dates. I could’ve swore I thought classes start June 29th. Now I don’t see any orientation dates and I just realized classes start the 22nd! I’m definitely gonna call tomorrow but ugh, I feel so stupid. Does anyone have any advice? I know it’s been dead but anything will help. Will I lose my admissions?!
THANK YOU!
Just call. They’ll work with you. You made a mistake, but they want you as a student.
Please let us know how that works out…
@bdestiny25 … Did you get that worked out???
My son was accepted off the waitlist for Spring 2021 admission as a Freshman. He was notified on the UCF portal and put down a deposit, but he still hasn’t received an official acceptance letter from UCF. Is anyone else still waiting for the mailed acceptance letter for Spring? Also, any word on when enrollment will start for Spring? From what we could tell, he can’t even sign up for Orientation yet. Thanks!
First of all, Congratulations!
Seems to me that our daughter’s actual letter came some time after the initial offer and our acceptance and payment of the deposit. If it seems like it’s overdue, email undergraduate admissions and ask them. They are very responsive.
I’m not sure when enrollment for Spring starts, but I believe applications for Spring Housing open up in early October. I don’t know if there is a connection between those dates because it’s two different departments.
I’m sure Orientation appointments have not opened up yet. They are still doing quite a few cycles of orientation for the Fall.
If Orientation for Spring is like the Fall, it will actually be in two parts. First there will be a 7-section online orientation he’ll have to slog through. Then, he’ll have a two-day orientation/enrollment where he actually registers for classes. All of that was done online for my daughter.
However, well before his scheduled enrollment appointment, he’ll be able to go online through the Student Self Service “Plan” feature and look at available classes and scheduling. He will be able to select classes and put them in his “Shopping Cart,” which holds his place in that particular section of the class. Not sure when the Spring class selection opens up.
Good luck, and again – Congratulations!
Hi! It took me about a month or 2 to get my official acceptance letter from UCF after I was taken off the waitlist. Because of COVID-19, there is a delay in the mailing process so my guess is to just keep waiting. And you should definitely call/email UCF and ask them when the enrollment for spring 2021 will start or check their website. And my guess is that since spring 2021 doesn’t start until next year, maybe the orientation wont be until later this year maybe but im not sure on that.
I have a son waitlisted UCF 2021 Summer but also told to send in an official transcript. Anyone from prior years get waitlisted AND a official transcript request? Wondering if that’s really YES YOUR IN IF WE VERIFY YOUR TRANSCRIPT or YOUR WAITLISTED WE REQUIRE ALL WAITLISTS SEND TRANSCRIPTS?
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen anyone WAITLISTED for Summer, but if he is ACCEPTED for Summer you should receive an acceptance letter by regular mail in a few days. If you get that, you will have 30 days to accept.
Summer admission, IMHO, is one of UCF’s best deals. All it means is he will have to take ONE class ONLINE during Summer B after he graduates. Then, he is IN for Fall. As a matter of fact, I think my daughter may have registered for Summer B and Fall at the same time.
Good luck, and call undergrad admissions if you have any questions.
Closing out-of-date thread. New questions deserve a new thread.
