It says the last round of review for waitlist is on may 31st still says I’m on the waitlist
I’m so confused about what I should do, UCF is my first choice but I’m still on the waitlist. My second choice is FGCU and I don’t know if I should put my deposit in now or wait more for UCF. I’m worried if I wait for and I still don’t get into UCF, I won’t be able to get housing at FGCU.
yeah, i think we’re all on this same situation. they did say that the first review results would come out on april 15th but the april 15th date was just taken off and we’re left with “the last round of review is on may 31st.”
i believe most florida schools allow you to commit by may 1st but give yourself some time before you commit. i think most people in this forum are trying to figure out ucf waitlist results before sending in second choice deposits.
I don’t know about ALL Florida state colleges and universities, but I believe UCF’s acceptance deposit is NON-refundable. At UCF, I’m pretty sure there is no “commitment” without the $200 enrollment deposit.
I don’t know about FGCU, but that info should be on their website – or just call their admissions office and ask them.
Should I contact Ucf and ask what does that mean. And if we will get an answer back soon?
i think most of us and many other people on the waitlist are doing that or have done so? so maybe they will update it or respond soon. if you do not see a change by today then i think maybe tomorrow you could contact ucf undergraduate admissions.
Somebody posted on Twitter about being admitted yesterday. Not sure if they were originally waitlisted or not but I’ve contacted him so I’ll let y’all know.
UCF admissions told me that waitlist decisions did in factor go out yesterday.
i asked them through twitter… i think we’re all still on the waitlist and have to wait until may 31st??
at this point, should most of us email to request an expedited decision? i am sure most of us have to pay deposits soon for our second choices if ucf does not work out. however, i am unsure of requesting for an expedited decision since it may backfire but someone did bring up it could give us a chance at admission??
They must’ve accepted a very limited amount of people.
okay, it’s final. they responded to my replies and said the april 15th date passed and the only date left is may 31st.
I kind of want to ask for an expedited decision but I remember reading somewhere that someone last year asked for one and immediately got rejected. I’m scared that could happen. I think after May 1st spots will open up and they’ll accept people from the waitlist but that is very late and most of us would probably have submitted deposits to other schools by that time.
yeah, i just read from another forum that when it comes to expedited decisions, you should only request one if you know you’re an all-round exceptional student. you may be immediately rejected so i think maybe we should wait it out; however, if you are confident in your abilities as a student then maybe you can try.
maybe try emailing them what an expedited decision is and ask concerns for deposits of other schools. i don’t know if they’ll deny you even though you’re dying to know your decision just in case for other schools.
So does this mean that others (not on this site) were accepted off the waitlist yesterday and another batch will be on May 31st?
yes. you’re correct. the people in this forum that didn’t get accepted into the april 15th batch will be reevaluated for the may 31st final batch.
yes, there were some people on twitter that said they were accepted, the final round for decisions is May 31st
Will it be on the date may 31st or could it be any day before then?
judging from how it went with the april 15th date, i don’t think that waitlist decisions will come before may 31st (since we all waited months/weeks for the april 15th moment and now have to wait longer).
