I'm just curious has anyone been accepted off the wait list yet??

I’m curious and worry too!!! T^T

“We will not be addressing the wait list for a few weeks. Expect to receive a decision sometime in late May or early June.” - Said by an Admissions Counselor I emailed.
I think that’s what they said last year as well, so you’ll find out earliest by the middle of May.
The sad thing about wait lists is…well, you have to wait.

Ahhhh okay because my good friend is on the wait list so were hoping for the best!!

teenieweenie, in case you were still curious, I was admitted off the wait list yesterday.

^ Well that’s good news. Congratulations. Which college were you admitted to and what were your stats?

Thank you. I was admitted to LAS with a 3.52 UW GPA and a 27 on the ACT.

Your stats are good. I’m Surprised you didn’t get in the first time…

Congratulations!! If you don’t mind me asking how were you informed of being accepted off the wait list??

I checked my application status and saw that it changed from “Applicant Agrees to Wait List” to “Admit”. I did not get an email saying so. However, I did receive one after accepting my offer.

Thanks! I’ll let my friend know to check her status!

My friend was accepted as well!! :)

teenieweenie,
What college was your friend admitted to and what are here stats? Thanks for the info!!!

She was admitted to LAS, her ACT score was a 23, and I’m not positive about her UW gpa but I think it was around a 3.4

Has anyone heard from DGS or any other college yet?

“We were able to admit 100 people from the wait list on Friday” - said by an Admissions director that I emailed. I asked about specific colleges but he hasn’t gotten to me yet.

Do you think they will still admit more students? Thanks for sharing Soso!!!

teenieweenie and avocado28 are you US student or international student?
Do any international student off waitlist??? THX!!!

@antsypants - The specific colleges review wait list applicants. An admissions counselor that I called said that once a college sees that they have spots open, they review the people on the wait list again and accept them. My guess is that this is what happened last week with LAS. So DGS may still be deliberating.

Oh, and if someone who was on the wait list decides that they don’t want to go to UIUC anymore, then they’ll give the spot to someone else. They really do try to give everyone a chance.

I really hope DGS has plenty of open spots.
