hi. i am wait listed to two schools and was wondering what are my chances. I know it depends on the school and how many people they enroll etc. well i am really nervous and was wondering if I should be applying for other schools. I am quite disappointed in this news and I find out in April if I am excepted off of the wait list. If someone could explain to me the chances, how it works (very specifically) and what is a good way to have the attention of the admission officers.

At the very top of the list there is a “sticky” thread titled “The Waitlist.” I expect it will answer your questions.

That being said, sadly, the chances that you will come off a waitlist are VERY low.

If you need financial aid, they are even lower.

There are schools with rolling admissions that are still accepting applications. If you do not need aid, this is definitely an option for you.

If you need aid, it will be more difficult. Have frank conversations with the school about what they might have available right from the start. You may need to wait until next year.

^ I would look at the waitlist thread that’s at the top of the forum. It has good info on what the chances are and has people who report that they got off the wl and where they got off at.

ok thank you and i do not need financial aid
