those who get off the wait list do receive financial aid (if they applied for it).

we won't know whether we get off or not until mid-june.

williams is need-blind for internationals on the wait list.

check the date of last year

hi guys...i was also waitlisted, so i guess we're all in the same boat.
i was planning on sending in an updated resume with my waitlist card in addition to something else, but i don't know what else would be appropriate. people have been throwing suggestions at me left and right: another essay? a mock-interview transcript? (i never had an interview) a list of facts about me modeled after the number motif in the williams viewbook? i'm so confused and i know i have to get this in ASAP.

what do you guys think would be appropriate, if anything?

thanks for all your help-- my counselor is doing absolutely NOTHING for me, she's out of town until may first! talk about inconvenience...

hi people!!! I also got wait-listed at williams... I wanted to ask u guys that recently I have been chosen as one of the top 6 students of my country (Pakistan) to represent it in the International Mathematical Olympiad 2006 in Slovenia... could you tell me whether i should communicate this to Williams and my chances off the wait-list ... my SAT1 is 1490... SAT II - 2400 and I have many other E.C's... please respond ..
Also I called williams and they told me the wait list this year was about 250 students...

wow, that's amazing accomplishment, you should definitely tell Williams this.

yeah i think you should definitely tell this to Williams. btw, my GC asked the admissions office about when the waitlisted applicants would learn whether they had been taken off the waitlist and the answer is that they will let them know May 15th the earliest.

Did anyone get a letter today about their active status on the waitlist? I thought it was weird that I got more mail from Williams that wasn't an acceptance or a "we have closed our list" letter, but my dad says it's just a typical letter. Anyone else?

yea i got one too, my mom thought that it would say that they already have a full class :)

alguien mas?

yes, I got one as did everyone else who returned their waitlist card.

got it; well, anyway, i guess people will start hearing for real soon!

yo

waitlisted, too

Check out the link above for some waitlist stats. I wonder if it's necessary for the college to have waitlisted 1,123 applicants (19.3 percent of the entire applicant pool) . FYI, that's more students than were admitted.

I got one too... I now hoping for an acceptance letter

Good luck to all of you. The school is probably still trying to figure out exactly where its gaps are and to prioritize which ones it will try to fill.

Does anyone know about any waitlist activity at Williams for this year, I mean what was the yield and how many people will they take?

maybe williams is full like amherst??

i hope not...

so, there is hope for those of you still on the waitlist. Good luck!
