Finally received my wiatlist letter in the mail! It said "you are among the MOST QUALIFIED" studetns on the waitlist...."
Is this the standard line that they wrote to everyone?

i heard that the students aren't ranked in the waitlist. If that is true, being the most qualified in the waitlist seems pointless.

That's standard, it was written on my letter as well.

Pangiummy, the two of them applied to a different school/college within UM

My letter did not mention anything like that. Then again, I applied to LSA and if I remember correctly, A2wolves6, applied to Kinesiology, so I don't know.

My deferral letter also said I was among "the most qualified" on the waitlist. But like dggirl and A2Wolves, I also applied to the school of kinesiology, so perhaps kinesiology wrote that to all of their waitlisted applicants. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I'm hoping that kinesiology wrote that because they know their school in particular will have some room and will be taking people off the waitlist.
