Waitlist

I got the waitlist letter today (Even though I was waitlisted 2 weeks ago and I live barely and hour away from UMich).
It says I'm on the "highest priority waiting-list". Does this actually mean anything? Are there prioritized waiting lists? Or is UMich just trying to make me feel better . . .?

The international students are essentially on a different waitlist from the one domestic students are on. I don't know if this means your chances of eventual admission are better or worse. But you're in a different pool, which is why your decision came out earlier, and why the wording may be different.

Thanks for the quick response, hoedown.
