Hey everyone,
I sent the card back a while ago to put my name on the waitlist for Tufts. My question: Is there anything I can do that would increase my chances of making it off the waitlist? (I really don't have much hope but i'm not upset because it's not really my clear first choice anyway but I still think i would attend tufts if I were accepted off of the waitlist. Also, I've heard that in the past they have underestimated the yield rate and taken no one off the waitlist, so i'm not expecting anything...) But if anyone knows anything or has any comments, I'd appreciate any info. Thanks

last year they took no one off their list. they've gotten too good at figuring out who will come to their school!

if it were your first choice, i would say write them a letter saying so. otherwise, there isn't much that could greatly increase your chances. but a letter telling them you're still interested couldn't hurt you! if you live near medford, you should try visiting their undergraduate admissions office and talk to your admissions officer personally.

that's not the reason they didn't take anyone off the waitlist. TOO many people decided to come here; my class is way too big, actually, and that's why there's such a housing shortage. There was no need to take kids off the waitlist when there were too many people in our class to begin with. They couldn't afford to overaccept this year on the chance that too many people would accept again, so it's possible they'll use the waitlist more this year to fill in holes.
