May I ask you what did your son do when he got waitlisted?? thank you
When my son got waitlisted, we didn’t really do much of anything. He had already been accepted at all of the other schools he applied to and had made a decision in case he didn’t get into Wash U. He immediately committed to that school. He wanted a school that he could play football at and was also a first rate academic institution within a three to four hour drive from home. My husband did call admission and visit with them about what more a student from a small rural school could do to gain admission. No magnet or private schools within 65 miles of where we live. Also our school doesn’t offer any AP classes. I told my son when he was wait listed to just let it go that he would get admitted to where he was supposed to be. When the call came to get off the wait list, he decided Washington University must be where he was meant to be.
