Waitlist

Did anyone else get Waitlisted? They said they'd let us known May 15th, so I mean I guess this is good If I don't get in anywhere else, which seems likely right now. LOL. But yeah, what are your thoughts on it, those of you who got waitlisted

The only problem with being waitlist, besides not knowing about your admission status, is that usually waitlisted kids get last dibs on housing and usually the schools run out of financial aid offers, especially merit aid. Thus, you may have to pay full price if you accept there. I can't speak for Syracuse, but this has been the case with other schools such as Carnegie Mellon et. al.

Thanks TaxGuy, I don't care about merit aid, just Fin. Aid, since my family is pretty poor, and can't afford alot. FAFSA, said we could afford like nothing, and CSS said even less. Since my circumstances are weird...there's no way id get merit aid anyways.

i got waitlisted too but im confused
are we supposed to enroll to a school as of now, and then withdraw if we get accepted into syracuse ?

whats the chance of getting in through waitlist?
<10%?

i wish i can you give you guys my spot :[
i dont think im going there i got accepted a little over a month ago but I think im staying in state

yeah waitlist is lame

I was waitlisted to whitman last year. then may 15 i got a letter in the mail that said I was on the waitlist again. Then i got in June 28th! Good luck, there is a chance that you will get in. Hound admissions, send them emails, and letters stating that you want to go there, its your number one, even if its not...... Thats what I did, even though it was number one

I will call admissions with this question, but in the meantime...

I was waitlisted for a program in VPA, but on my application had requested consideration for two other colleges if I didn't get into my first choice. Does anyone know what happens in this situation? If I don't get off the waitlist, does anything happen with the other programs or am I out of luck? It seems strange that I could be waitlisted for one program and essentially then never considered for the others. I have seen other colleges put people on waitlists, but offer them a spot in another program.

damn i got waitlisted too. i seriously dont get why its after may 15th if other colleges ask me to respond by may 1st =/. i really want to go to syracuse though. should i say i dont need any financial aid, or anything and if they accpet me ill pay any reasonable price and def. go ?
