rargh . :(

i wonder by how much they are over-enrolled this year..

Ouch that stinks =(

Don't mean to resurrect an old thread, but I noticed on Stanford's recently reported CDS for 2007-2008/url, 967 students were taken off the wait list for the class of 2011. That doesn't seem to fit with the comments earlier in this thread that suggest there were no students taken off the wait list. Plus 967 students seems to be an awfully large number, over 50% of the enrolled class. Anyone think it's just a typo or can explain this further?

Heh. I went back and looked at the wording again - they just fixed the typo:

New:
Number of qualified applicants offered a place on waiting list: 1,478

Number of wait-listed students who accepted a place on the list: 967

Number of wait-listed students admitted: 0
Old:
Number of qualified applicants offered a place on waiting list: 1,478

Number of wait-listed students admitted: 967

Is your waiting list ranked? 0
Big difference.

If Stanford over-enrolled last year, does that mean they will be accepting less applicants this year? :[

Hey, do you think they are reading this forum discussion???? I saw the mistake, also after you pointed it out, SarahsDad!
