waitlist

hey, I was waitlisted from EDII. now that (many) RD decisions have been released, who else has been waitlisted? I think I remember 1 other person from EDII, but so far I haven't seen anyone from the RD thread as waitlisted.

so am I basically it?

How weird would that be?? yea, I actually asked on the RD thread if anyone was waitlisted; no response...

BTW, when they waitlisted you, did they give you stats.....GC at our hs thinks it's a little strange that they haven't released them......

Good Luck this weekend!!

not many people know their decisions - just URMs

rodney, when they told me they also sent me a sheet that covered some FAQs.
one of the questions was "How many students are usually taken off the waitlist?" and the answer was "Predicting the return on our initial offers of admission is an inexact science. Over the past five years the number of students who have accepted positions on our wait list has averaged six to seven hundred. The number of students who have been offered admission from the wait list has ranged from none to 100."

at first the "0-100" scared me, but when I spoke to my district rep. he was saying how LAST YEAR was the year that they took 100, so I'm hoping that that means they'll take at least that many this year.

thanks julienf for the info, my d is waiting for her RD decision, but her friend was waitlisted EDII as you were.....If this year turns out the way the soothsayers are predicting, I would imagine that the 100 number will be higher....(as will those offered a position on the list)

no problem.
also, if more people are (presumably) being waitlisted, they certainly aren't on CC! :)

i was waitlisted :(
