Waitlist

Anyone accepted off the waitlist yet?

Here is your answer on waitlist acceptances.
Vanderbilt Admissions Blog

i got one of these calls on May 2nd.... they were asking me about interest and i said I was still "interested" but not a definitely a yes... i think i'm going to cornell

Yeah I am really hoping to get a call about it, but everything I have heard is suggesting the people that will get accepted are the ones who have something the current applicant pool is lacking. With a declared major in econ (one of the most popular majors) and nothing really unique, I'm pretty depressed about the situation because I felt like Vandey woulda been a perfect fit for me. Any suggestions?

My S got in tonight off waitlist - and he was an economics applicant. So hang in there - it obviously does not hurt your chances.

Congrats! If you dont mind me asking, did you guys do anything special other than possibly saying you are still interested?

Nope, just sent in the postcard.

i actually didn't even send the post card in until May 1 so they called me not knowing if was even staying on the waitlist

Tubamom, how long does your son have to respond?

accepted off waitlist today. i believe they ask if you're interested still. if yes, then you get a fin aid offer in about 2 days and they mail you an admissions packet. from there, they give you a week to decide!
