Waitlist

guys what the hell happened to cornell waitlist??? will the university be accepting people from theirr waitlist? i got waitlisted into enginneering schooool, and havent heard from the university since then.!

According to this article in the Cornell Sun there are 3,311 applicants on the Waitlist this year.

[C.U. Admits 19.1% of Applicants | The Cornell Daily Sun](C.U. Admits 19.1% of Applicants - The Cornell Daily Sun)

While Cornell uses the waitlist to fill the Class, the number admitted from the waitlist varies widely, from a low of 3 admitted in the Fall of 1999 to a high of 279 in the Fall of 2007

One hopeful sign for having to go to the waitlist, is that the target class size has been increased this year.

It all depends on the actual yield, whether they need to admit from the wait list.

Good Luck :)

(** It looks like they forgot to clear the Wait List fields on the 2001 Common Data Set form, because it is highly unlikely that the numbers would be exactly the same as 2000. But that’s what they posted on the web site.)
