<p>So I'm on the wait list for Rutgers Engineering and I checked online and found that they don't have to get back to me until as late as Mid-July.</p>
<p>From past years, has anyone heard back from on the wait list earlier than May 1st?</p>
<p>I didn’t hear back from Rutgers after I was waitlisted for Fall 2008 in like February.</p>

<p>Wow that’s crazy. I got into the engineering school as a transfer, and have until May 1 to make my decision. I don’t think I’m going, but I guess once they know whether the people that got it are going or not, they can start accepting waitlisted people. But honestly, I wouldn’t put up with that bs…If someone doesn’t get in after being waitlisted, then is might be too late to enroll at most colleges.<br>
Hopefully you hear back way before that.</p>
<p>Emerica, yup. It was odd but I did commit to Purdue around then also so I wasn’t screwed by it. </p>

The thing you have to do is enroll to another college, then pull enrollment if you decide to go to Rutgers, but you lose that deposit… it’s ridiculous and ****ing me off which is why I’m wondering if I can get off the waitlist before May 1st…</p>
<p>oo that’s right. Most colleges are asking for a nonrefundable deposit of around 300…I’m guessing Rutgers is your first choice. What other engineering schools did you apply to?
Did you try calling them?</p>
<p>Well Rutgers is now my first choice (was my second…) and this is kind of killing me… I’m gunna call tomorrow and see how the wait list works to see if there’s a chance I’ll hear before May 1st.</p>
