I just was notified that I have been put on the waitlist and will be sent info on my options. This is all after being deffered and suffering from anxiety for months as OSU is my first choice.

Anyone else in my position.

Anyone else in my position.

I wonder what the percentage is to get in now?

Same here. But one of the options is to start attending this summer

I am away on vacation so i haven’t gotten my letter. Can anyone share more info on the options. When is the deadline to turn in the papers?

Same .

Good by OSU Hello Purdue Engineering

DD was waitlisted, too. Hasn’t gotten a letter yet. A little bittersweet as my whole family are OSU grads, but she is happily headed to Miami. Too bad, OSU, you just lost a quality student unlike the two other students you accepted from her school who have cheated and partied their way through HS.

OSU does waitlisting :O.

I saw those stats, and they are scary. But that was from the first year they did the wiatlist so things may have changed. Can anyone describe the options they were given and the deadline the forms must be submitted by?

anyone going to enroll in the summer. what are the disadvantages and advantages?

Summer enrollment is not a bad option. The area is nice, the weather is great, and there are plenty of class offerings and housing options.

I’m in off the waitlist. It was a real surprise b/c the email came about a week after the letter stating I’d be on the waitlist. I’m out of state…

Many years ago, I started at OSU in the summer. I WANTED to start in the summer because I felt I would be less overwhelmed by such a big university. I can’t really think of too many disadvantages, except that you wouldn’t have an immediate break after graduating from high school. You would have a break at the end of summer since OSU doesn’t start fall quarter until the end of September. If it’s the only way to get in this year, it sounds like a plan to me. :)

By the way, my daughter is in engineering at OSU and has had a good experience for the most part.

I was offered that first, but was worried that 12 credit hours in the summer would be overwhelming…especially on top of just having completed 37 hours university work simulateous with high school. I really need to visit though b/c I am afriad of how big OSU is.

I got in off the waitlist also. I guess the odds are better than previous years. I am out of state also. Now I don’t know what to do because I already sent deposit to syracuse.

I guess you have to look at both schools to figure out which one is best for you which isn’t always easy to do. I thought it was strange to get a letter saying I had to start in the summer, then a week or so later another letter accepting me for fall. But the only way I will go is if I can be on the fencing team.

Well, DD never even returned the letter saying she wanted to be formally put on the waitlist after deferral so was a little surprised when she received acceptance letter today. She’s already deposited and done housing app at Miami. Too little, too late OSU. Thanks anyways, see you when its time to start looking at grad school.

Same. I never returned the letter. Already confirmed to Purdue for engineering…sorry osu

I lost my deposit to su, but its worth it

I’m going !!! I wonder if others are still being contacted off the waitlist?
