waitlist

hi,

has anyone gotten off the waitlist?

do people who applied for fin aid have less chances of getting off the list? i know that people have been admitted with fin aid but i mean chances.

also, about how many people are waitlisted in tufts every year??

one more question,
i thought that once in, tufts provided financial aid according to your need. is this not true?
"Tufts meets 100% of the full demonstrated need of all admitted students."
why are there so many students choosing other schools because they didn't get enough money? not only in tufts but in other schools as well. is it that students are given what they need but they choose some other place that gives them more money??

thanks

“Need” is in the eye of the beholder. Tufts may feel that they’ve given you enough money to enable you to attend, but you and your family may disagree. Sometimes financial aid offices expect families to make some pretty unreasonable sacrifices to pay for college.

Yup, financial “need” is in the eyes of the school, not of your family.
As one of my favorite long-time CC posters says, EFC = Every Freakin’ Cent.

thank you guys,

could you please answer other questions as well?

someone said that some questions were already answered in other threads but i couldn’t find it anywhere. i have read them many times…

thanks!
