I was devastated yesterday but I figured that being upset is not doing anything.
So, optimism all the way!</p>

<p>Also, my philosophy has never failed me: whatever happens, it happens for the best. And even if you may be sad now, it is because the future has great plans.</p>

<p>We can do it because there is hope :)</p>

<p>Me too… I wasn’t expecting this so I took it really rough. I also got waitlisted from Bryn Mawr</p>

<p>Daughter was waitlisted at Mount Holyoke, Holy Cross and Bates. Luckily has 2 good acceptances. Also 2 rejections. Still waiting to hear from 3 more. <em>sigh</em> But since there might not be any financial aid, it is hard to say if we can afford the waitlist schools.</p>

<p>Sigh I got waitlisted too… I’m from Singapore and asked for a HUGE amount of financial aid so even if they do accept me off the waitlist, financials are certainly going to be a problem. To all those who got waitlisted too, cheer up! We’ll all probably get into a good college in the end(hopefully). =)</p>

<p>parent of someone currently attending mhc, here. while being waitlisted can feel devastating, trust me that there is no such thing as one “right” college that will make or break you… trust me when I say that all of you are so much more than your test scores or the college you graduate from or… fill in the blank. good luck to all of you. be gentle with yourselves.</p>

<p>so wait… we don’t know when MHC will send final letters. Should we go to other college (since we have to decide before May 1) ??? What if I’ll receive acceptance letter from MHC in August and I’ll be enrolled in other college??? Would it be possible to go to MHC?</p>

<p>^ the way I understand it is that you make an initial deposit at another school. If you make it off MHC’s waitlist you would have to forfeit that deposit and withdraw from School 2. Hopefully the process would end before August. Hang in there, hon. Good luck!</p>

<p>is anyone sending anything extra? I may commit to Ithaca College . Still deciding. But I am still sad. It took me 4 weeks to come back here and face all this again. :
When will they send us acceptances, etc?</p>
