Waitlisted -- Accept/Decline post

@pastries
Thats what I applied to! I have a little hope now thanks :)

I hope everyone from this thread gets in! (hi. First time posting, but I’ve been checking back here for info while stressing out)

Yeah, this thread helps me with the temporary anxiety disorders. Thanks, guys!

*Just was wondering why UC-Davis has so many waitlisted? Do California residents get reduced tuition at UC schools? *

Uh yes…UC- Davis is a state school. Don’t Ohio residents get reduced tuition at Ohio’s public univerisities? That’s kind of the rule of thumb for state schools…residents get a big discount.

my major is bio =[ not looking to promising for me

They may be able to accept more since ucd is planning on accepting more ppl this yr than last yr. I want to know how many submitted SIR may 1st D: Lol checking everyday even though I know 2nd wave is later

Accepted
–I choose to attend.

@sweetlacecharm: Did you get accepted off the waitlist or just the regular admission?

I think sweet may have meant they accepted the offer to be on the list. I dunno, I could be wrong

I think even if I get in, I might struggle with the fee. I heard from the other thread :frowning:
Life is not fun for me right now. UGGHHHH, THE FRUSTRATION!!

^the housing fees? I heard there is a $500 reservation fee for housing app. Is that true o.o Soooo many extra costs!

App-$60. SIR-$100. Waitlist-$100, AWPE-$110, Housing-$500?, Orientation-??? WAT IS THIS

I originally thought that the blue and gold plan would pretty much take care of my housing stuff but apparently, it doesn’t. I probably can’t afford to go away from home:(
Wait, isn’t it just SIR? I didn’t know there was another fee for waitlist.

the first wave came out on monday, and they had three days…so shouldn’t another wave have came out on friday?
or at least today? unless they’re planning to wait till monday…?

@syltutu
technically for waitlist its more than 100. SIR for previous planned school 100, SIR for Davis 100, Housing deposit of other school (this varies and may not even count for you). In the long run its not even that huge difference, around 200 dollars compared to 100.

ohh, that’s still a lot of fees to cover, though.

i didnt SIR to another school so yeah, if (WHEN?!) i get in, i’ll only pay 100, still a lot but yeah

SIR for SDSU is $400. It hurt to pull out the credit card (because I still have UCD to hope for and the money might go a waste if I get in, which I highly doubt right now) but I later found out that I get a waiver for the payment or else prom would not be an option for senior year.

Accepted

A bit ashamed, but basically 0 volunteer hours.
I’m thinking my courses and SAT saved me.

My SAT was fairly low but everything else, I thought I was up to speed. Apparently not, because I still have not heard from them which drives me out of my freaking mind right now. Do they send an e-mail immediately after the response, since they give us only 3 days to decide?

^I think we haven’t heard anything from UCD yet…because it’s the weekend >.< Guessing they don’t work on weekends :confused: Hopefully we’ll hear from them tmrw. But i think we won’t hear from them until Tuesday. They will probably use Monday to see how many spots are left over and then reevaluate candidates and then release who got accepted the next day. I need to know soon! Each day feels as if it’s getting longer and longer. If I don’t get accepted this week, i think i will go crazy waiting another whole week .___.

lol my SAT was low too, i was too stubborn to take any prep courses (then i gave in but it was too late lol, took a 5 week crash course before the last SAT offered)

Did anyone hear anything, yet? I’m afraid to check because I don’t want to be depressed before taking the ap government test. I want to hear from other people first.
