Hey Guys!
Found out I'm waitlisted and Swarthmore is certainly my top choice. I've heard it's a good idea to let the respective college from which you've been waitlisted know of your interest, but what else can I do without becoming a pest?

[Mathacle Blog: SWARTHMORE admits 929 of 6,118 for Class of 2012](Mathacle's Blog: SWARTHMORE admits 929 of 6,118 for Class of 2012)

So that’s kind of an old article but the Dean talks about the waitlist in the 2nd half of it.

I think it’d be pretty hard to become a pest (because let’s face it, even if you flooded admissions with boxes of fine chocolates how annoying or “pest”-like could that be). I think that showing interest would be a great idea especially at an institution like Swat which really seems to have an invested, personal connection with its applicants. Were you thinking of writing them a letter? If so, I’d probably wait until things ‘die down’ a bit. Idk if this was helpful, but I tried; I’ll be interested in seeing the advice/suggestions people post.

Best of luck!!

Essay … pretty much all I can suggest.
