<p>I just purchased and consumed like 2 boxes of chocolate after finding out that UCSD waitlisted me for Human Biology.. I'm really depressed and feel like I have no shot at UCB and UCLA now. I can't afford to attend private school because it will put a huge financial strain on my family. I got in for pre-med at NYU, but that's not much of an option because it's so expensive...
I have decent stats:
2130 SAT, 4.1 GPA, 32 ACT, 780 Bio (E), 720 each on Math 1 and 2
Is there still hope for me in the remaining UCs?</p>

<p>Really sorry to hear that. But if you got into NYU then I’m sure one of the two (UCLA or Cal) will take you.</p>
<p>I agree with @zomgrad, I’ve read on these forums about others who’ve gotten rejected/waitlisted by UCSD but got accepted to either UCLA or CAL. Every admissions office evaluates independently, so don’t lose hope!</p>

<p>I got wait listed too. And honestly I am kinda grateful. I just found out I got rejected from UCSC and I was super nervous because it was one of the easier UCs to get into. But its weird that I was flat out rejected from UCSC but wait listed from UCSD. I really hope I get in. <em>fingerscrossed</em></p>
<p>I got waitlisted too and I was pretty down when I found out, and the fact that a whole bunch of my friends with lower gpas/SATs (which UC’s are notorious for valuing the most) got in didn’t really help much.</p>
<p>Just crossing fingers and hoping that I’ll become one of the stories of the people who get waitlisted/rejected by lower tier UC’s but get accepted by UCLA/Cal…</p>
