well i got waitlisted, but my stats are on the "official" thread.
i'm not taking my place on the list. are any of you?
looks like i'm going to U Chicago next year!!!

i'm not sure...i might end up going to ucsd for financial reasons. it seems like i'd have to wait for a long time before i find out a decision...and if they don't let me then i'll be college-less because i have to accept a college on may 1st.

Why I think I was accepted/rejected/waitlisted: Maybe... my test score kinda sucked? Or... I dropped a couple of classes second semester. But hey... it's senior year! I am also pretty poor (<$25,000). Emory claims to be need-blind, but many believe otherwise.

W/e... It was my first non-acceptance, and it wasn't even a rejection.

WAITLISTED

Location/Person:

Other Factors:

Extracurriculars: section leader, history/eng tutor, NHS, Acadeca award winner (regionals, states), a bunch of clubs, lots of community service

Why I think I was accepted/rejected/waitlisted: Cause I have a ton of Cs on my report cards (all math but at my school, you only need a c to stay in the top track for math), have a horrendous downward trend (yay for a 4.4, 4.3, 3.7--my midyear was a 4.1), my essays are horrible, and I'm pretty surprised to be even waitlisted cause I got waitlisted at all my schools, practically, and this was one of my best ones.

check out this irony: i got into Middlebury, which had a huge surge in applicants but not an increase in admit rate. and i got waitlisted at Emory. hmmm.

good luck!!

so you think Middlebury is a better school?

waitlisted =(

college admission will keep getting worse........I'm SO THRILLED to be done with this college crap admission. Too bad I'll have to go through a similar process 4 years from now....
