how many get in on the waitlist and do i even care?

sorry but sounds like this school is like the second, third even fourth choice for everyone and does not seem like anyone really cares if they go there?

that bothers me?

tell me if i am wrong cause i have othere choices and if pepperdine is full of kids that would rather go elsewhere, i don't know if i want to bother?

I was waitlisted and I am pretty upset about it.

I was in denial about what they look for in an applicant. I was above their average for SAT scores and GPA and was surprised to find myself on the waiting list. The only thing I can guess is that my volunteer hours and religious committment were not large enough.

I do not have the same attitude that Pepperdine is most peoples second, third, or even fourth choice for college. I see Pepperdine as a much less contemporary college expeirience. Obviously, with the lack of partying and large prescence of Christianity, the time at Pepperdine would be much different that the majority of colleges nationwide. I knew that if I got in I would have a tough choice to make, based on what I wanted to gain from four years at college. It's the same decision that all accepted students have to make.

You can use the time on the waitlist to decide which experience you want.

For me Pepperdine's always been where I wanted to go, since I was a little kid. That comes partly from my mom having gone there, as well as many people from my church. Not that I felt I had to go there because so many others have, but as I've visited the campus and learned more about the school, it's where I best see myself.
