Hi,

So I got wait listed at CSOB at the U back in February. Does anyone know what the chances of getting off are like this year? I know the CSOB is one of the tougher schools to get into. I'm instate with a 1290/1600 SAT, 3.41 GPA(top 30%), some ECS and with good letters of recommendation. I'm pretty sure I got waitl listed for poor grades, especially in math. But I plan on getting my Pre-calc teacher to write a letter of recommendation since I've been acing almost every test. Not to sound like a typical whiny teenager but my ALG2 teacher did not have the best approach to teaching. Is it worth appealing?

I was waitlisted to CLA but I got off.

Here’s what I did:
1.) I submitted my appeal
2.) I went in for a visit, but mainly to try to talk to an admissions counselor
3.) At this visit I asked what I needed to do to get off the waitlist, but I made sure to be very profesional and sell myself. (This is the most important part, you want to be impressive and show why you deserve to be in the CSOM)
4.) The lady I talked to asked me to write an extra statement (besides the one on the appeal form.
5.) I did that, and i wrote it well.
A few days later I got a call that I got in.
Good luck!

@lilbbased Did you get in?
