Waitlisted at CSULB, what r chances at SDSU?

Is it safe to say that I won’t be getting into SDSU if I was waitlisted at Long Beach?

What us your eligibilty index and intended major or if you are a transfer your GPA and are you local?

I am a transfer with 3.64 gpa as a psychology major

Also I am not local

You look like a competitive applicant but SDSU is very tough if you are not local. I wish you the best.

generally SDSU is more selective than LB but, each campus evaluates applicants independently so, it could still happen.
Is there another door open for you?

Thank you. I was accepted to CSUDH in December and am still waiting on CSUF, CSULA, CSUN, and SDSU. I would guess that my chances of being admitted off of CSULB’s waitlist are slim. They said I would not know until the end of June/ early July - also they cannot process Financial Aid until they admit.

You should probably think of LB as a NO until you hear otherwise. They may keep you hanging until the middle of summer, and all the attractive housing options will be taken. Your chances of making it off the LB waitlist are really tough to say because it varies so much year to year. It really depends on how many people quickly tell LB they plan to attend elsewhere. (my son still had no answer from LB on 7/1 several years ago) IMHO is it really unfair to the student as it causes people to not move on.

Again - all campuses evaluates applicants independently but, since you are on the LB waitlist, I think Fullerton, Northridge and LA are very likely to accept you.
Good luck.

Thank you, yeah it definately doesn’t feel great being on the waitlist and having a big question mark in the future.
