I was waitlisted at all the schools I applied to,did that happen to anyone else?

No, I was rejected from two. Good luck!

Yea, I waitlisted at Milton, Concord, Choate, and Deerfield

I was in the same position last year - applied to five and waitlisted at five. You can try sending a waitlist update letter reaffirming your enthusiasm to attend the school and what you would bring to the community, but once that’s done continue living your school year to the fullest Easier said than done, I know (I beat myself up waiting for a phone call that never came) but there’s always the option of reapplying next year, which is what I did and I ended up getting admitted to my dream school!!

@bmyfeyonce where was your dream school?

Andover. I had actually half given up by March 10th so I’m beyond excited!

That’s great! @bmyfeyonce

yes, I was waitlisted at Choate, Taft, and Andover. I applied for 11th grade. Does anyone know how much a letter can help your chances of being admitted?

@bmyfeyonce your situation was exactly like mine! i applied to 4 last year, waitlisted at all of them. this year, got into my dream school (exeter) and i have the option of deerfield too!
@jttttt i don’t know if it really helps THAT much. i think it might keep you in their minds, like “oh, this boy/girl wrote this letter from the waitlist” so they might remember you when they are admitting people off of it. it couldn’t hurt. the wait lists at those schools don’t move that much, i’ve heard, but you could be that one person who DOES get off! you never know!
