<p>I've just been put on the management waitlist at Mcgill. I am transferring from Concordia university in montreal. I was wondering if anyone had an idea of how many people are on the waitlist? should I just give up hope? I'm freaking out a little because I thought my GPA was incredible and that I would be a shoe in (4.15/4.3). Can someone please let me know what I can expect?</p>

<p>To be honest… I have no idea how it works… but I would assume that you are correct…</p>
<p>I’m from Waterloo, they don’t use the 4 points GPA system, just in percentage. I got about 79.5 in average. With my calculation with McGill GPA system, it’s gonna surprise you, I got only 3.5/4.</p>

<p>I just finished my 1st year at Waterloo? I also got waitlisted. Well, I submited my application pretty early, like end of year 2008.</p>

well waterloo is a much better school than concordia … that may have helped. The fact that you submitted your app early may have also helped. I hope I get in… I’m starting to lose hope though. </p>

<p>I’m pretty sure that they look at the school too, because a cGPA at one school is NOT the same as it would be at another, even if they use the same scale.</p>
