well at least it's not a rejection...the letter says that they will notify me asap AFTER may 1st and no later than june 5th.

but most colleges require that the admitted students respond BY may 1st!!!!
what am i supposed to do? how is this supposed to work?!!!

I got waitlisted to CAS. ■■■. I dont know if I will accept it. I might just go to BC

i was waitlisted at CAS too…

yournamehere: If you get waitlisted and accept the waitlist position, they’re fully aware of the fact that most schools require response/deposit paid/confirmation/etc etc by May 1st. Basically, you have to go ahead and respond/make a deposit to a school you were accepted at. If NYU does accept you, I believe you’ll just have to deal with losing that deposit (I’m not positive about this). If NYU doesn’t, then at least you’re still set at another school of your choice. Some people get screwed over when it comes to waitlists because they don’t respond to anywhere else, then get rejected, then they have nowhere to go next fall.

And I got waitlisted from Stern also. Is anyone aware of anything we can do to increase our chances? I’ve heard things about sending a “letter of interest” for example? (Whatever that is…)
