Much to my disappointment, I was waitlisted TWICE today and one of them was Davis :/
So here are my stats:
SAT:2080
Reading: 640
Writing:650
Math:790

ACT: 31

SAT II:
Math II: 750

UWGPA:3.78
WGPA:4.01

Major: International relations Alt: Economics
Accepted at UCR honors so far...

Should I keep my hopes up that Davis or other UC's will accept me?? I was really rooting for UCSD and UCI, but now it seems hopeless since i was waitlisted. I just want your opinion on my chances.

Same thing happened to me. I have similar stats to yours (I have a worse GPA but a better SAT.) and I got wait listed at Davis. Don’t worry, sometimes strange things happen with college admissions. Also, I got in to UCSD and UCSB so you should be good to go for both of those.

My EC’s were band and track for my first two years of high school, however, I ended up moving in the middle of my sophomore year to a different school. I didn’t get involved in EC’s after I moved because the school’s program was ridiculously small and underfunded, and I felt I wouldn’t get much out of it. Plus, I wanted to focus more on my studies.
After i moved though, I started volunteering like crazy, like every weekend I would spend about four hours volunteering at my local church and so I’ve racked up countless volunteer hours.

@gswsjssf49: You got into UCSD and waitlisted at Davis? Man these college acceptances are so unpredictable… But congrats! That’s like my dream school ._. What are your exact stats? Just out of curiosity.
