I recently applied Early Action to the University of Oregon’s Robert D. Clark Honors College.
I just received a letter today that the admissions committee was going to wait until all of the Regular Decision applications came in before they made their decision on whether or not to admit me.
They also asked for my 7th semester transcripts from my high school and for any updates SAT/ACT test scores (I don’t plan on taking them again)
What does this mean? Will I most likely be denied or accepted?? Clark Honors is easily my top-choice school so any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated!
It means what you said, they are going to see how the regular applicant pool looks to see if there is room for you in the Honors program. There are only so many spots, so it depends on how many other qualified applicants apply and are accepted. Just have to wait it out. Do you only want U of Oregon if in Clark Honors?
I’d still probably go to UO even if I wasn’t accepted into the Honors program, I would just be slightly disappointed because my GPA and ACT scores are above average. (UO avg GPA: 3.61, ACT: 24. My GPA is 3.91 and ACT is 31).
Is your GPA 3.91 weight or unweighted?
Update for anyone who sees this thread and is interested in CHC: I was accepted today!
Congrats @djones24 !
Did you get a letter in the mail @djones24 ? If so was it thin or a packet - super nervous now
@eastbayrent - I got in on the same day as @djones24 and heard by a letter in the mail. Since I assume you are from the East Bay (out of state), then your mail might take longer to get to you? Surprisingly, it was a thin, normal envelope, not a big packet or anything super fancy.
The envelope isn’t super thin because it contains three pieces of paper and an envelope inside the envelope but it’s not thick or fancy looking!
