I recently found out I was waitlisted at UW. It’s my top school so I want to do everything I can to get off the waitlist. I’ve been reading about possibly filing an appeal but I don’t know if that would do anything. I’m out of state. I’ve taken 5 AP classes and 3 honors classes, I got a 28 on the ACT, and an 1840 on the sat I believe. unweighted Gpa was a 3.7 I believe and weighted was like a 3.9 ish… Do I have chances of getting off the waitlist and what can I do?
My friend was on the waitlist last year and got accepted in May, she didn’t do anything she just waited but according to the UW website for appealing you can get a quicker decision (if your appeal is denied you still stay on the waitlist)
Btw how did you find out you were on the waitlist?
One of our family friends is an alumni and was able to find out for me, but notifications are going out through mail all this month until the 31st I believe
i just found out that I am waitlisted too, UW is my dream school…
you can appeal and get s reply in 1 to 4 weeks after they receive it or just wait til after may 15 when uw starts accepting wait list students
Does the first wave of Wait-listed acceptances come out today?
