I've been waitlisted by Wustl and Rice, and I've been accepted by UCLA and U of Michigan. Do I still have a shot at Cornell?

I think so. I’ve got similar stats, but lower GPA and rank (10 AP’s though…) and I got in with a likely letter. Also got into UMich, WL’d by WUSTL. I am a Native American though.

Don’t give up hope, I think you’ve got a decent chance.

Thanks for the encouragement!

Did you apply for engineering as well?

Nope. CAS, but I think they’re probably similar in difficulty to get in. Eng is probably a little more selective, but I’d imagine it’s negligible.

When I was looking at your ACT scores and saw Eng I was like “ummm… there’s not engineering section on the ACT. (probably because I just was thinking you’re applying to engineering)”

Then I realized it was for english.

Actually, AAP is the most selective college with a 15.48% acceptance rate. Arts is second with 18.35% and CALS is third with 21.89%.

Well excuse moi Haha.

Just curious, where did you find individual school acceptance rates?
