Anyone else still waiting to hear? Anyone been rejected? What are your expectations?

Still Waiting... My friend got in June 3rd. It's depressing.

I don't know what Kines letters said, but I believe LSA and Engin candidates were told they would not get the final notice until after June.

Wolverine Access shows "In June, you will be notified of your status on the wait list." so i'm hoping to hear in the next week or two.

Mine said the same thing. I am not thinking much of it because my friend's letter said that he needed to pay his deposit by June 17th. I guess I should just be positive and wait and see what happens.

I was accepted off the waitlist about 2.5 weeks ago
I was surprised that I got in because I am out of state and only had around 3.2~3.3 Umich GPA (perfect math/science test scores though)

Anyone accepted off of the Kines waitlist?

I think they're going to wait and see who of the waitlisted candidates pay their deposit and enroll, and see if there is any space still left over. I don't think there were any openings besides for OOS students in LSA.

good luck buddy...i'm pulling for ya

No, as a matter of fact both Engineering and LSA took people off the waitlist, and some of them residents.

So Kines didn't take anyone off the waitlist???

Just called Mich and was told "no Kinesiology decisions have been made yet"...the only info she could provide was that they "hope" to have all final decisions mailed by the end of June.....

Ugh.......

wow guys...it's nearly the middle of summer and you're still wondering if you'll get into UM?? You should be partying by now.

I would be partying, but 1) I have a job where I put in 30 hours a week to pay for college, and 2) I'm not in at UM....

It's been 235 days..... and still not a "yes" or "no"

its been 235 days since u turned in ur UMICH app that is disgusting!!!!!

Well, it's actually been longer. That was the date when my app was complete, so I actually submitted it before then.

Disgusting? ? I think you misunderstand, KING IS HERE. Every person who submitted and application and who complete it got a decision: Accept. Deny. Or Waitlist. That is pretty standard.

I guess it's a matter of interpretation, but I believe your guidance counselor and others with experience would tell you that a waitlist offer means you should make other plans. You have not been admitted. The institution is telling you that there was not room for you.

The only thing about a waitlist decision is that if things change at an institution, you may get a chance, and you will get a new decision. At that point you can decide (or not) to cancel the plans you've made elsewhere and enroll at Michigan (or wherever) instead. But a waitlist offer is not a limbo decision; the reality is, you have not been admitted.

I'm not just saying this as a former admissions professional--it's common for most people to regard the waitlist offer as a decision in itself. Have you ever heard people talk about their college decisions after they're enrolled in college? They'll say, "I got in at Lehigh and Wesleyan, and was waitlisted at Duke."

Michigan expects its waitisted students to make other plans! Please do NOT jeopardize your own future by counting the days and holding off on other plans! U-M says * We cannot predict how many students we may take off the wait list; every year is different. In recent years, we have been able to take very few students from the Extended Waiting List, and therefore recommend students make alternative plans to attend another institution.

If you are offered the waitlist option, you may wish to consider applying to the University of Michigan as a transfer student. For more information on transferring, please click on the link to our Transfer Page.

Still on the waiting list and haven't heard, and it's July 21.

hahahaha uhhh they are finished with the waiting list...

just out of curiosity, what college did you apply to?
