Wow thats pretty low; its even way lower than mine. Can’t you increase your family contribution?

Maybe. Hopefully I won’t need too

@pixie…
I don’t think they will entertain the “Interest” letter?
And the amount which Ali mentioned was what most of the students would assure of??? So that’s not unusual. :)

Do trinity commit itself to one country one student policy , huh??? LOL!!! :D

and, BTW, while in waitlisted pool, only need matters or our stats too…pretty confused…they have mentioned EXTRA need-sensitive about the waitlisted pool…:(

I am waitlisted as well. In my opinion, the reason why I am waitlisted is that I requested large amount of financial need. Do you guys know how many internationals are placed on waitlist? And what precent of them are offered admission?

can any of the waitlisted candidate put up their stats?

^^^^ start with you…no insistment whatsoever…will you?..
other ppls too…you can post as well…

@babo90
have u checked this:
http://www.trinity.edu/departments/admissions/mz3/WLQA.pdf

356 were offered waitlisting, 178 accepted to be on waitlist and 43 were accepted…it’s of past three yrs in average…so whatchu thiink guys??? it’s lot difficult , lot lot difficult. :(

Got 2150 in Sat
5 A’s and 3 B’s in O level though A’s in all the sciences. Messed up the easier subjects.
3 A’s in As
Giving one more subject in A Level probably going to get an A in it too.
Willing to pay only $3000

Got 1980 in SAT.
As per our system, my GPA gotta be somewhere above 3.8 or about 4.
have ECA’s too.
that’s it. nthn much.

@skox818: Are u sure interest letters don’t matter so much? I mean everywhere over the internet ppl go like if u got waitlisted u shud write interest letters, submit latest grades etc.

one-country-one-policy? erm I hope they do. You aren’t from Bangladesh now are you?
And I think both need and stats will play important roles for us. It does make logical sense right?

@Ali: here are my stats-

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/international-students/854919-chance-me-scale-0-10-a.html

Does anyone know why they are waitlisting the internationals before decisions are sent out? And when do their decisions come out?

^^^ It’s all because we asked for great deal of financial assistance …that’s why?
BTW, i have know some of my frens and they had mentioned really support but still they are not in waitlist and guess what they had got fantastic stats too…outstanding stats i would say…So i am surprised if only the need was the subject to wait list you…:S :S

I got deferred under EA application, and I haven’t received any emails yet. How could you guys be notified that soon? [I’m international]

@skox: did all ur friends (the ones with outstanding stats) ask for full rides (or close) from trinity?

baolong: Well I applied RD; maybe trinity has different set of plans for the EA deferred ones. So why’d u get deferred?

Honestly, I don’t know. Maybe I didn’t show enough interest (just my guess)

Does anyone know someone who got accepted to Trinity last year with significant amount of aid and what were his stats?

@pixie
ya they asked for significant aid …but stilll they are not waitlisted…but their stats is quite outstanding…i m still cofused…hope they get selected.

Whats the range of their sat scores?
Did you send in your SAT2 results?

@skox: Before applying to Trinity, I didn’t know that they barely give out full rides to int students. Now that I do, I know for sure that I won’t be getting any. So do you honestly think everyone of your outstanding friends and all the other outstanding applicants will all have their full need met? I mean, It would be great if they did; but will trinity really fund so much money?

@Ali and skox: What other schools did u guys apply to?

^^ i think trinity does offer full rides to internationals (as far as the history has it) but the number is very limited i guess… and with the surging number of applicants and the limited funds! they can be quite picky!!!
