Everyone waitlisted at ILR gets a GT if they don’t get in the first year.

How do you know that? And when do you think they will let us know by?

People kept saying it here once decisions were out and I didn’t believe it at first so I emailed ILR admissions myself and they confirmed that we do indeed get a GT. They just said that notifications can start as early as the second week of May and there have been instances in the past when people have been accepted off the waitlist as late as August.

That’s good to hear. August is so late though.

is the GT only exclusive to ILR?

got accepted from waitlist for AEM.

I’m international applying for FA, so idk if i can go yet.

My son also received a nominating email from Cornell. Is it considering an acceptance letter?
I wish they had sent the FA info as well so we could make a decision quickly. Does anyone know if they are able to provide me the financial info this weekend, they need our answers ASAP. Do they work on weekends?

ANy news on Engineering? Does anyone know if they give GT transfer letters as well as other colleges.

Why are they dragging this on? Do students apply to multiple universities (unethcal and not allowed) and then quickly decide last minute?

Yeah it’s annoying to not have some sort I closure. Really would like to call admissions, but don’t want to jeopardize my chances of getting off the waitlist.

well i heard from another parent that tuition is due July so I would think they would know…

Got a GT, guess I’ll have to wait and see if I use it

what dept was GT for? ANYone get one from Engineering?

Also with GT, do you have to wait a year? or can transfer mid year?

Are these coming via email or postal mail?

thanks

I was wondering if everyone on the waitlist now will get a GT? did anyone get a no from the waitlist?

Also if you get a GT, do you need to give a response?

ILR via e-mail, transfer is for fall 2013

Hey guys. Do you think there is a chance that Cornell might give GT to students applying to CAS ? Thanks

I got a reply from the waitlist for CAS and they said the following:
“We now have a clear picture of the number of students who will be enrolling in the fall and, unfortunately, we will not have a place in the class to offer you.”

However, what confuses me, is when the letter concludes:
“If, after a successful year or two elsewhere, you still think that Cornell may be the right school for you, we hope you will consider applying to transfer here. Cornell enrolls between 650-700 transfer students each year, and you will find information for transfer applicants on our website, admissions.cornell.edu.”

Do you guys think that is a GT?

That’s not a GT. They are just telling that you could apply to transfer if you want to. Never heard of CAS offering GT.

Hi, 567890; you just got this email from admission office today?

I got a letter in the mail a few days ago.

My S is on waitlist from CAS too but no news yet
