<p>Well, I got waitlisted for CS 61A and my position is in the 30's... should I continue with the waitlist, or should I take another class? If I should take another class, what class should I take?</p>
<p>I'm in a similar situation here - except I'm about 100 on the waitlist. Seems pretty hopeless.</p>
<p>As an EECS major what would be a good alternative? And will I get behind if I can't take it - I'll be really disappointed if I can't get it. It really seems like they should have more than one of a big entry level course like this.</p>
<p>Don't worry - not everyone starts off with CS61A. Many start off with CS3 because they have no prior experience. They do not really end up behind.</p>
<p>Take a look at EE 20N or EE 40, which are also lower-division requirements.</p>
<p>Both EE20N and EE40 have Math 1B as a prerequisite - which I'm taking this semester. I'm not sure if I can take them concurrently.</p>
<p>How do waitlists usually go? Is it safe to say I won't get in being this far back?</p>
