My appeal does say decision pending so @ithinkican93, I would call. I sent my appeal on March 31st and it changed to pending a few days later. Yes, it would be helpful to know if the decisions come out alphabetically. I am S. However, I wonder if it goes like this: I am ranked 26 on the Pre-Bio waitlist. On Monday, Bio has 25 students stolen away from them because of UCLA so they need 25 students from the waitlist/appeals. On Thursday, another 5 get off UCLA’s waitlist and leave SB so Bio needs 5 more and I’m in!! On May 22, if I was lower on list and they didn’t take all the kids ahead of me I’m SOL.

@ithinkican93 I’m a California resident and I sent my appeal in on April 14th. My last name starts with an S, hope that helps! The email also said all final admission decisions will be posted online by May 22.

How did you know your ranking? I’m a Econ major and an alternate on communications! I’ve been waiting soooo long. I sent my appeal on April 10th!

What the heck I’m waitlisted and was told appeals come out after waitlist decisions that’s why I didn’t appeal!! :(

I’m a pre political science major, in state and last name is H
I appealed April 14th
Congratulations to everyone! I’m so excited!

sent appeal first week of april

@nallaire I did it just incase

Grr I hope I get in I sent them a long email saying why I wante to go there so hopefully they take that into account when they review my app

So does your admission status change from waitlist applicant to accepted or do you have to look somewhere else to see if your accepted off the waitlist?

IF you got in off the waitlist… where is the financial aid award?

I just got the Waitlist email and went to the portal and I am confused. Where does it say whether I am in or not?

Yes I’m confused as well, where does it state if you’ve been accepted or not, because I see Waitlist Information and it says accepted under it but I have a feeling this is about accepting a spot on the waitlist? Thanks for help.

Does anyone know if the wait list emails will be going on throughout the day?

Does the message at the bottom not change and the only thing that shows acceptance is “Response: Accepted” under waitlist information?

the email was just a general one to waitlisted applicants saying all decisions will be posted by tues may 22

When you log in to your portal and you’ve been admitted it will say this underneath your name at the top:

Admission Status: You’re Admitted!
Admitted Major: Pre-Communication
College of Letters and Science
Appeal Status: Approved

I got in! I’m so happy because I really wanted to go. But I got in through just the wait list - I didn’t appeal so hopefully that placates some people. I got into the College of Letters and Science and my last name starts with a K, if that’s any relevance at all.
I found some stats so hopefully this is will help?
Last year, in SB the freshman class size was 4,093.
This year, 4,107 students have enrolled thus far and out of the 3,384 students offered a place on the wait list 2,064 accepted. The number of students that have been offered admission through the wait list is known but its been looking pretty good, so have hope :D

denied off waitlist//appeal.

For the people who are granted admission off the waitlist, can you state whether you’re a California resident or out of state please?

Do we have to accept the waitlist offer Before the 15th or can I do it on the 15th?
