Waitlisted from UCLA. Will good Senior fall term grades increase chances of admission?

My grades improved significantly my first semester of Senior year. Just wondering if this can increase my chances of admission or if I’m kidding myself.

I believe it will, try sending your fall grades to them. I received a supplemental request from UCLA, and put my first semester senior grades which were basically straight A’s in contrast to my many B’s before, and I believe that’s what got me in.

I believe it will not. From the waitlist FAQ: Can I send letters of recommendation or other documents?
No. To be fair to all applicants, additional materials (including letters of recommendation) cannot be accepted and will not be reviewed if sent.

Won’t really affect anything, because it’s not like every other student who was accepted and also waitlisted could also submit their fall grades to negate the affect of your fall grades.

Don’t they ask for your Fall grades when you say you want to be put on the waitlist? My son was waitlisted in 2013. IIf I remember correctly they asked for Fall grades and anything else that might add. He gave them his Fall grades (which were perfect), and wrote about a few awards he received and a couple of clubs he joined. He was admitted on the first pass of waitlist admissions. He ended up going to Berkeley though.

UCLA yield rates are pretty high,
just go to berkeley (; (good luck tomorrow)
