Waitlisted - Going to accept?

did anyone else find the waitlist letter kind of mean hearted? im not sure if im going to accept the waitlist offer yet, ive been waitlisted at Tulane and Northwestern too and im really hoping to get into Northwestern

I got waitlisted on Friday. Accepted to Villanova early but will accept the spot at Boston if offerd

pchenz, I’m in the exact same predicament =/

Hi!
I kind of lost my letter saying that I was waitlisted and directions to put yoursself on the waitlist. Does anybody know how to do this and possibly post up how?
Thanks very much :)

I got waitlisted but I dont think I will accept that. I got accepted into Tufts and Tufts was higher up in the list for me than BC.

All the best to the waitlisted people though, hope you guys get in.

thanks JIS1, I appreciate it, it is my number one choice, hope to get in.

Is writing a letter reaffirming my interest okay as far as not harassing them goes? I mean I’m not going to bombard them with e-mails and unnecessary updates or anything.

Also, people also say to tell the school about any achievements after applying, but for me nothing new has really cropped up. Is this like completely awful for my chances? Is it also a slight plus that I don’t need financial aid and can afford it?

Freaking out here. Ugh I hate waitlists.

From what I have read on in other forums and threads, I think writing a letter is certianly a good thing. Write to reaffirm your interest in BC, if BC is your first choice, make sure you tell them that. Don’t state cliques in your letter. Possible state what you can contribute to BC. Look up online on other college websites about how to write an appeal letter. I know that USC has a link on how to appeal. I am not sure whether it is the same for all colleges but I am presuming it is around the same.

Its ok if you dont have any new achievements but like if your GPA has improved this semester, state that, it always helps.

I hope you get in, all the best!

How has BC’s waitlist worked out the last few years? How many people do they usually take off?

does anyone know where exactly one can email a letter to bc?

anyone?..

Thank you so much, JSI, sorry this is late.

I followed your advice and sent them a letter. Don’t know where it’s gotten me yet but I’m still hopeful :)
