Waitlisted in a class; classes start tomorrow!

I am new to this forum and don't know if I'm posting in the correct part of the forum. Anyways, I registered for classes more than a month ago and had 12 credits for the upcoming semester. Today I went online and decided to go on rate my professors and there were about 30 posts that all said she was a really bad professor.

One of the posts says "To be honest, I have never had a worse teacher. If you don't read the textbook, you will fail the class. She reads the power point word by word. She is terrible at explaining anything, she doesn't care about her students one bit, and she has no idea what she's talking about - at least that's the way she sounds. I couldn't stand her so I withdrew. Waste of money." And many similar to that.

I had no choice but to withdraw as I want to actually learn something and pass the class. I know not to believe everything on there but 27/30 were poor ratings. I withdrew myself from the course and instead waitlisted on another class.
I waitlisted for the class and there are 38 spots total of which 36 are filled and there are 4 people on the waitlist and I am the 4th. Classes start tomorrow and I only have 9 credits which I need 12 for full time. I am wondering what I should do, not attend the class I am waitlisted for until I am accepted? Do I have a chance of being accepted to the class? If I do within a few days, would it still be okay if I joined missing 2 classes? It's a history class that majors on from 1865 until now.

This is not the right place to post but I will tell you what I would do. If you have to carry 12 credits, find another class you would be willing to take (or even reregister for the one you dropped) while you wait to see if you an get into the waitlisted class.

Go to the waitlisted class and afterwards talk to the professor and tell him/her how much you want to be in this class and what is the likely hood you will be able to enroll.

It is likely that you will get in as it may be those ahead of you changed their mind and took other classes and/or the professor allows the class to go over the number allowed. If you can, keep going to the waitlisted class so you don’t fall behind.

Then if you get in, drop the other class you used to meet the 12 units. If you don’t get in, then you can try next semester and I would ask the teacher if they would note your name incase it fills again in the fall before you can enroll.

Good luck!
