Waitlisted..In-State...Please Help

Hey you guys,
So i've been posting on CC for the since my sophomore year trying to find out how much of a shot I had at Chapel Hill and so I applied in October for EA and got deffered then I got waitlisted the other week. I got accepted into Wilmington but deffered and also Waitlisted by State which was a suprise(Unless someone forgot to tell me how competitive their business school is?) so I was wondering If someone could tell me my chances of getting accepted from the waitlist and also tell me if there's anything I could do at this point to help my chances. I have a few connections with some people that work for the University but I don't know what to say or how I could get help. also is it possible that I could send them my most recent transcript so that they see my new improved GPA and class rank? Anyways, Here are my stats:

So please let me know what you guys think. All advice and thoughts are much appreciated!

UNCDUDE… If this school is truly your top choice and you can afford to put yourself on the waitlist at UNC and also pay your enrollment deposit at UNCW, then it’s certainly worth a shot. Last year, UNC-CH waitlisted 2986, of those 1433, roughly half, accepted a spot on the list, and 194 or 13.5% were eventually offered a place in the freshman class. If you do everything you can, including sending them your final grades and perhaps a heartfelt letter (have it edited by someone for clarity, punctuation & spelling) stating your obvious desire to attend, then you will have no regrets if it doesn’t work out and still go to UNCW. Which is also a great school, by the way. I think you have to go for it! Maybe someone else can comment on the letters of recommendation as I don’t have an opinion on that. My D was WL, but we are OOS and she has some great options that are a better fit for her. Good luck!

p.s. you seem very well rounded and they would be lucky to have someone like you!

To be completely honest, I do not think you have a chance. Your GPA isn’t very good, and your test scores certainly aren’t at the level of the other admitted students. It might be smart to start considering the schools you’ve officially been admitted to.
